That sweet that nasty that gushy stuff

Today this is all I can think about. I did a post last summer about my favorite place called African Ice where all the money from the snow cones go to help women in Africa with small businesses. Besides that awesome fact it is just DANG good. Go get one- 4500 south and Highland in the Albertson's parking lot. I am going to go as soon as George comes home so I can enjoy that fluffy goodness all by myself without sharing.

ABC..it's easy as 123

No doubt Michael Jackson was a strange, sad man. But he was a musical genius. I loved his music my whole life and couldn't listen to his songs without smiling. Even if it was a song written for the major motion picture"Free Willy". He was pop. Not the krappy pop we have now without any substance. He was true slid your feet, pump your hips pop. Jerry curl, white gloves, tight pants, pointed shoes, studded belts none of these would have been cool without the king of pop rocking them out. I will choose to remember him in his good days. Thanks for your musical contribution Mike!

Dad's, Beautiful Mountains, Naked People and Greasy Fries

To celebrate Father's day we took a drive up to beautiful Mirror Lake. We loved seeing all the great scenery. Did you know right outside of Wasatch National Park there is a nudist ranch. I love it! We had to stop and take a picture. No naked flashes thank goodness. We packed a feast. The weather was so sunny till you drove to the other side of the park where there was still snow on the ground and it went from 78 degrees to 41 in ten minutes. On the way home we stopped at Dick's diner and got shakes and fries that were absolutely delicious. We decided they will now be a tradition. It is so great that here in Utah we live so close to so many great places!

Week in review

So last week we watched my sister's kids all week while they were in Washington D.C. and every SINGLE kid got the flu and then I did and then Tati. It was so swell! I can't express how grateful I am to be home now and for this horrible sickness to be gone. It felt so good to sleep in my own bed. The funny thing is my neice and nephew are 5 and 7 and they are so great to Tati. She loves to follow/boss them around and they are so sweet to her giving her all the attention in the world. Because she could not be beside them every waking minute her vocabulary grew so much last week. She is saying things to me now I just laugh my head off at. I can tell she is so happy because she can finally express things that she has been wanting to say. She is a smart cookie because she knows if she is going to get in trouble she runs up and says, "I'm so sorry mom. I'm so sorry." What a stinker.
We also got a brand new computer and I am so in love. This thing is WONDERFUL! It has a slot to put my SD card right into the computer which makes pictures so easy. It is so fast. I was telling George last night I am really proud of where we are right now. Not in an unrightous way but that we have worked hard and in the past three years to come from nothing and to now looking at houses and buying things I always considered luxuries. We have always had to work hard to get anything and we sure had a lot of trials at the beginning but everything was worth it. All those people who took advantage of my poor husband because he didn't have his papers and made him work slave labor and still owe him money to you I say THANK YOU. We love George's job and couldn't ask for a better family to work for! To the slumlord we had THANK YOU. We are so happy at our place now. Our landlords couldn't be greater and we couldn't love our ward more. Every trial has brought us to where we are now. Which guess what? I love where we are at!

July 21st 2009

Mark your calendars peeps. July 21st, 2009 the George Tupou family goes from three to four. My doctor scheduled my c-section for that day when I went in for my appointment today and suddenly the world is looking a whole lot brighter! Just when my world was feeling overwhelming and exhasting I feel like my doctor gave me a wonderful gift. I can't stop smiling and I am so excited to have this little girl here in six weeks! My friend Josie just had her baby boy and I have gone to see him twice in the hospital and it just gets me so excited to have my own bundle. He is such a cutie by the way. I was so stressed about having this baby but now that I know the day it is so much easier. I am just so grateful to Heavenly Father!
