Interview with myself

Upon arriving at the interview I found the subject's house a mess and a mix of poopie diapers and clean laundry in the air. It had obviously been a rough morning.

ME: So, I think the questions on everyone's mind is... Are you moving? Did you buy a house?
MYSELF: For now, no. We were "under contract" three times with the same house and in the end it just didn't work out. I guess it wasn't meant to be. We lost a lot of money, but it is all going to be okay.

ME: What happens from here?
MYSELF: Well we are back at square one looking for a place to buy. We hope to buy and move within the next three months. We already have a few we have interest in.

ME: Do you feel that you learned something from this experience? What positive feedback can you take from this?
MYSELF: Well the positive is my family is healthy, safe and we have a place to live. We have warm beds to crawl into at night and lots of love. I guess this experience has given me a sense of gratitude. Gratitude to my family and friends. Our poor friends the Allen's put so much time into the situation and didn't get anything out of it. We feel lucky to be surrounded by such great people. We couldn't feel more loved!

ME: Yeah, that's nice...moving on to the more social part of this piece....nice hair. Are you planning on going on a rock tour or something with that bright red?
MYSELF: I think I look quite sexy actually. I needed something fun to kick my butt out of the just had a baby phase. I am, after all, still in my twenties, even if it is only for three more years.

ME: Do you prefer flushable wipes or regular old toilet paper?
MYSELF: That is way to personal. This interview is over. Your gonna hear from my publicist!

Subject storms out of the interview. Amongst her fury she trips on her daughter's new strawberry shortcake house and all the minuscule pieces come crashing out. Sighing with defeat, she goes to search for chocolate.

2009 Christmas Card

Merry Christmas to all! These past weeks have been crazy so this is pretty much our Christmas Card folks. We are still in limbo, much to our distress, with our house. I think George and I have aged twenty years over this deal. I pulled a muscle in my neck brushing my teeth the other day. Funny, huh? Except for the fact I couldn't move the past couple days. Excluding those things life is pretty great. We are so grateful to have two healthy, beautiful children who bring us so much joy. We are grateful for George's job, his boss and all the blessings it has brought into our life. I am so grateful for my job as a crossing guard. I love my kiddos I cross. I got so many hugs and gifts from them on their last day before the break. I know I have it pretty good.
Lately, I have been thinking about how Mary felt giving birth to the Savior. Imagine seeing Christ's first smile and feeling his hand curl around your finger all to know he was going to grow up and suffer a horrible death to save the world. I am not sure how I would deal with that. As a mother we always feel we have to protect our children and Mary knew she couldn't do that. I hope our home this season reflects the love we have for the Savior of the world.
We hope you and your family have a great Christmas season. We feel blessed to have great family and friends and you are part of that!

We are back on!

Like I said....our house status changes every day. We are suppose to close today or Monday. Looks like we will be getting our house after all. *PHEW*. I was seriously considering moving to Australia if this didn't work out. My husband was quite thrilled I was actually thinking about it. Looks like we are meant to be in the States though. We will move in just in time to set up our Christmas tree and our imaginary presents. Small Christmas...Big hearts.

I'm blue how are you?

I have been feeling a little down lately. Turns out we are not getting the house. As far as today goes anyways. It seems to change everyday. In three months we can get a house because that will be two full years that George has work history in the United States but not before that. That doesn't seem too bad right? WRONG. In the meantime, we are facing being sued by the seller of the house, have to pay out of pocket for the inspection, FHA inspection, Meth test that was going to come out of her closing costs. And we lost our good faith money. Thousands down the drain for NOTHING. Which depletes the money we had for a down payment. So, no house. Not today maybe ever. I feel blue.

DO TURTLES PICK THEIR NOSE?

Here starts my morning:
Me: Tatiana what are u eating?
Tati: My nose.

This whole morning I have wished I was a turtle. They have it so easy. They swim, eat and take it slow and when things get stressful they retreat into their shell. Where the hell is my shell? This whole buying a house thing has been a deathly terrifying, emotional rush roller coaster. We thought we would be closed yesterday and now it looks more like Tuesday. There has been one problem after another. The funds we had to redo the house have dwindled into unexpected problems. *Sigh* All the fun ideas I had to redo the house will have to wait..and wait..and wait.

BUT....we are getting a house. AND....I do have a great family. AND...there are still things to smile about. AND...even if it is with construction paper we are going to move in just in time to decorate for Christmas. AND...thank goodness I'm not a turtle because if they find themselves on their back they can't flip back over. HERE'S TO FLIPPING OVER!!

Peace

I am so in love with my little family right now. I feel like my heart could just explode I am so happy! My little girls are so much fun. Tatiana is saying the funniest stuff right now. I love her personality and spunk. I love that no matter how independent she is only I can kiss her "owwiees" away. I love that she asks me to cuddle with her every night before bed. If only I could get her stop picking her nose (yuck!) she might just be perfect. I could get lost in her big brown eyes. Alilia has become so alert. She loves to play and she will break your eardrum, she screams so loud. She has gotten so big. I put in 6-12 month clothes today and I wanted to cry because they fit. She is only four months and she commands the family. Her smile makes up most of her sweet little face and she is the most ticklish little chub chub. She is definitely her mommy's little girl and would be thrilled if I could just cuddle her all day. Her eyes have stayed that dark grey green and I love them. George has been so wonderful as always. He has worked so hard so we can get into our house. I love that his family is always number one to him. He has been working out everyday and he is smokin right now! I am so grateful for my little family.

Cornbelly's

George had a "mate" from Aussie, Vic, staying with us this weekend and we had a lot of fun. Tatiana adored him. We went up to Corbelly's on Saturday and had so much fun! I rode the mechanical bull and it was a blast. The guy working it was so nice and he looked like a movie star. He let us all ride it for free. Thanks awesome bull guy! My legs are still sore from squeezing the bull! It is harder than it looks. George went down this slide with Tati and ended up coming out so fast he fell hard on his bum. I died laughing! We really had an enjoyable weekend. Next up...yardsale, my birthday...NEW HOUSE!

It's a new day...it's a new life...

I want to be a better blogger. I'm not sure I want to become professional status but I would like to be enjoyable, refreshing, unique.
I want to get rid of anything I haven't used this past year. GONE BABY GONE...yard sale Saturday.
I want a new hair do. Blah followed by blah has been the most recent style.
I want to have more fun with my kiddos. I am so blessed to have them and I need to chill out and just enjoy them sometimes.
I need to recommit myself to Weight Watchers and get back on track to eating healthy and working out.
I need to get Halloween costumes in order. enough said.
I need to organize my time. Organization is my trail... or lack of really.
I need to fall back in love with myself. No I may not look the same as two children ago but I am still hott"ish". The truth is, the people I find the most attractive are people who are confident in who they are and it shows. So here's to me being confident!!
Lastly, I need to clean my house....and that's what I am going to go do!

I'm pretty fabulous...

My house is beyond chaos right now. How do u amazing people potty train your kids, keep your house clean, do amazing do it yourself projects, save money, keep your patience with your kids, loose weight, have amazing hair, keep up with laundry, cook gourmet dinners and make it look so easy?????? I seriously don't have the energy for it. So don't even think about "dropping" by my house now or for the next two months because I will politely talk to you through the screen door and not let you in. Nothing personal....

Movin' on up to the east side....

We are officially "under contract" to buy a great little home in Holladay. I am so excited!!!! I know it is the right place for us and a great place to raise our little girls. The great thing is we already have good friends in the ward. I'm sure the Allens, Bringhursts, and Nelsons are just peeing there pants waiting for the day we move in. Now...anybody have some places I can go and get decorating/painting/flooring ideas? I am in major need of some cute/cheap decorative thingies. I can't wait to throw away most of our crap and actually buy things for my house for the first time! Goodbye ugly, pleather, offwhite/stained 80's sofa with the rips all over! I hated you since the first day my sister-in-law bought you at a garage sale and "surprised" me with u. (I am still grateful because it gave us a place to sit.) Goodbye loads of crap that I kept just because..."u never know I might need it". I am going to be a minimalist! Cleanse, purge and feel better. If I don't love it, it isn't going in my new house. I am going to repaint my "okay" stuff and make it fabulous. I have to pick new carpet, tiles and paint. Wahoo! I do need some ideas though so please feel free to give me advice.....

:)

Exciting things are happening for my family! I can't quite say yet but I am pumped. No, I am not pregnant because I could not even handle that right now. But on that note, I actually had to take a pregnancy test yesterday and thought how weird it was that for the first time I actually wanted it to say no. I knew I wasn't but my doctor asked me to take one because I have been dizzy for a week and I can't figure out what it wrong. I still haven't figured it out. I just keep hoping it will go away. Anyways....look for an exciting post in the new few days....:)

Alilia's Special Day

This past Sunday was Alilia's blessing. George did a great job. We stressed about who to ask to come up to the circle...we're dumb we worry about these things..but it a huge circle by the time all our dear Elders were up there. Family came from both sides and we had a nice family lunch afterwards. We recorded the blessing, which I so wish we would have done with Tatiana. It was a special day for our special girl.
p.s. I hate that picture of me...I look like Anna Nicole Smith...and it isn't in the face...

The rundown

So...I have been in a blogging blah lately. But I have been super busy and actually had a life lately...so bonus. Starting at the top.... My family came into town and we all went to the BYU game and were so depressed when they lost. Bummer dude....I started making these carseat covers and have actually sold some! Let me know if you want one;)......Went to the Halloween open house at Secret Haven with Josie and Allyson. Christa looked awesome! I'm a spider which u would never guess....
We put an offer in on a townhouse in Daybreak and it basically got accepted and then we canceled it. I felt so sick after we signed the papers. It just wasn't right. We are putting another offer in on a house today...I hope it works out! It is a great house but small. The lot it is on is pretty big so we could eventually add on. And I would get to keep my job and Tati would go to school where I work. Our friends would be in our ward and our neighbors. I am pretty excited about this house and all we could do to it...
I think I may be having a touch of the baby blues. I was a nightmare the whole time my family was here! I was so stressed out about house hunting and Alilia's blessing. I just feel so tired all the time and when one kid is crying and the other one is constantly saying.."mom...mom...hey mom...mom...mom" I just want to pull out all my hair. I love these girls and feel so blessed but I can't quite get a handle on myself. I am hoping I snap out of it this week or I am going to ask my doctor about some meds. Don't get me wrong..it's not all clouds and rain here there are still lots of moments of sunshine and I hold those dear.

FALL

AND JUST LIKE THAT FALL WAS HERE. I just loved the sprinkles we have gotten these past few days. Halloween is in the air and I am excited! I love the fall smells and clothes. Lately, I have been so stressed out about buying a house that the rain just made me feel better. We have so many decisions to make and they have to be made pretty much within the next week and a half. UGG. Buying a house should be exciting but we haven't gotten there yet. Tomorrow my family gets in town! Saturday is the big BYU game and George and I are gonna get all decked out. GO COUGS! Sunday is Alilia's blessing. I can't believe it...my baby is two months already. I love that munchkin so much!!!

Cowboy George

Last week was a lot of fun. George's birthday was Thursday and we had lunch with his office and dinner at our favorite Hawaiian place. He really made out like a bandit on all the gifts he got. Gosh...lucky.:) Then Friday when he got off work we headed down to my mom's place in the great state of Montana. We got lost and took an extra 2 1/2 hours but we eventually got there. I spent most of my time in my step dad's shop making frames and all sorts of stuff. I was in HEAVEN! I could spend all day making things with my hands. Glenn my step dad gave me an new toy. A Mikita 10' Saw. I could barely contain my excitement!!!!! George made an awesome knife, rode horses, rode 4 wheelers, shot guns, chased bears and cows and was the first brown cowboy ever. EVER. Tati had a blast running around with Grandma and Grandpa, riding the train and bossing everyone around. Alilia basically just slept and cried for me to hold her. Which she does all the time these days. She is such a Mama's girl...it drives me a little nuts. We really had a lot of fun and are already planning our next trip there.
Next stop....VEGAS BABY...this weekend!

My two little loves

I wish I could just freeze my kids at this age. I am so in love with both of them. Lili is starting to laugh and smile. She has totally filled out which I adore! She sleeps through the night. Basically, she is such a joy. Tatiana says the funniest things now. She tries to play little jokes on me all the time. She can count to ten and say most of her alphabet. I love how sweet she is to her sister. She is so gentle and loves to give her kisses and gets really concerned when she cries. There is nothing like your child curling up in your arms and saying, "I love u mom". Those are the moments that make me realize how blessed I am!

Happy Three years Babe!

George,

Happy three year anniversary! Since the day I met you, you swept me off my feet. Now, two kids later I still adore and love you to pieces. Thank you for always doing whatever it takes to support our family. You are my hero!

35lbs lost!!

Well I am officially the same weight as when I got pregnant with Alilia! I can actually put my pants on now and just last week they didn't fit. The funny thing, which you moms know, is I didn't loose it in the same place I gained it. So my pants fit..tightly:). I am really pleased with Weight Watchers. I think it is actually pretty easy and I never feel deprived. I really owe my success to George. He has done it 100 % with me and even counts his points. I couldn't do it if I had to make two different meals or saw him eating things that would tempt me. This has been the jump start that I needed to get into shape. Now as of today I am cleared to exercise so I am going to get it going!! Hopefully I keep loosing weight like I have been....

The weekend review in pictures...

This weekend flew by! Our neice, Ilana got married and so her mom, George's sister came and stayed with us along with her boyfriend Shane and our nephew Philli. We had a lot of fun at the wedding and it was nice to have family come stay with us. Tati had the most fun running around the wedding and making all sorts of friends with young and old. There was a TV playing pictures of Ilana and her husband, Bryson, when they were little and I just sat there for awhile crying. Call it after birth hormones...but she and Tati look so much alike I kept thinking of Tati growing up and getting married and I was so sad!!! Don't worry I pulled it together though. :) We love Ilana and Bryson and hope to see lots of them from now on. We also got our first picture with all of us since Lili was born. Good times all around....

Love Bug Alilia

Five weeks and my little baby has already changed so much. Her little face is filling out as you can tell by her double chin and her eyes have become this shiny black blue color. My sister thinks she looks more "white" than Tati does, but I tend to think she looks more Tongan. She is such a good baby and I am so lucky. She slept through the whole night last night without waking up once. YIPEE!
