Show me the money...

Alright, here is the truth. I use to hate coupons. Actually ,I detested them. I was so embarrassed if I was with someone and they whipped out their coupons at the register. I would shoot apologetic looks to the people in line behind them and pretend I wasn't really with that person. But times are 'a changin my friend. The economy has been on the down hill slide and it is now personally effecting everyone. Friends who had stable, providing jobs are being let go with nothing to pay their mortgages and bills. I have decided that I need to start making a conscious effort to save more money. If we want to buy a house by December I need to save every penny I can. So I have given the whole gungho effort to coupons. In fact, tonight was the very first time I used a coupon(s). I felt very proud of myself. I organized them and made my grocery list around them so when I got to the register I could hand them to the cashier in a very quick, efficient way. I will be doing that all the time now. Why not? It is free money basically getting handed back to you. What isn't cool about that? So if you want some places to find coupons here is what I know: Sunday paper, Couponcabin, and mailers. Could this be me?

Alright the clouds are fading and I am feeling a little better. Basically I was just tired of feeling sick! I was asking my friend JOJO the other day if she had a hobby. We both kind of agreed we didn't have one. I really need a hobby! I have tried scrapbooking, making girls hair stuff and some of the odd crafty thing. I do like those but I want to find something I love. I am considering Roller derby. Of course I would have to wait till after I have this baby. I think I might just be a natural at it. It is a feisty contact sport and I think those two words definitely fit me. Could I have some suggestions on finding a new hobby? What are your hobbies? What could I be good at?

sunshine my.....

Sometimes I read my friends blogs and really I just want to puke. I know that doesn't sound very nice of me, but I get tired of thinking everyone has a life except me. BOOOOO! I am a little cranky considering I have had a miserable few days, scratch that, I mean weeks! Start two weeks ago when I woke up with intense tooth pain and had to have an emergency root canal first thing in the morning. Did I mention that my dental insurance isn't going to cover one red cent? So it is all coming out of pocket. The dentist had to do it in three parts so first part was done that day and all was fine and dandy with no pain. Then he gave me antibiotics that I had to take every six hours. These made me so damn sick!!!! I could barely hold my head straight and I threw up every two hours. You know it is sad when your two year old is rubbing your arms and grabbing wet wipes to wipe your mouth off. I could tell she was very scared of what was coming out of me. So after three incredible horrific days I stopped taking them. It took a full 24 hours for them to get out of my system and for me to feel semi-better. Meanwhile, I am stressed because basically I have eaten nothing for fear of vomit and this poor child inside me is starving! So one day after I am feeling better, I go back to the dentist to have part two done. All seems fine until the next day. The next day my tooth is ultra tender again. Just brushing my teeth brings tears to my eyes. AND the genius me decides that for fear of my tooth getting infected I had better start the satanic antibiotics again. STUPID STUPID! This was yesterday and I only took one at 8am and I am still throwing up right now! I wish I would have had this tooth just pulled. I don't even care anymore. I would rather be a toothless, fat women who can eat whatever she wants then puking and in pain. There is no sunshine in my soul today!!!!

Pride, it's a dirty thing...

I have always had a secret pride for my teeth. My siblings have all had multiple work done on their choppers and I held the title of never even having a cavity. My childhood dentist was my biggest fan buiding up the ego of those pearly whites. Well that was all shattered yesterday. I actually haven't been to the dentist in almost ten years. With no insurance I figured a person who flosses everyday and brushes three times was pretty safe and I would save the money. All looked good in my mirror smiling back at me. About Monday night I had this aching in my tooth that really hurt. Tylenol didn't seem to help and with the pregnancy I can't take much of anything else. It seemed to go away and only hurt when I chewed something hard. Wednesday night I went to bed at 10:30pm and woke up with a blinding pain at 11:00pm. The pain was so intense I couldn't even sit still. It was a million times worse than labor! And the torture lasted all night until I could go to the dentist at 9am on Friday. I didn't even go to bed that night. Well to make the story short I had an emergency root canal Friday morning and now I feel so much better. So much for no cavities..at this rate I will have dentures in a couple years!
