I'm back....

Well 2010 was a very hard year. We moved, had a miscarriage, started school, got in a little over our heads, evaluated relationships and went through some pretty stressful stuff. We also realized that we needed to make some future goals and start working on them. We need to get to a better place financially and we laid out some steps that we would take in 2011. I plan to finish hair school this year on top of doing permanent cosmetics and eyelash extensions. George is going to start Salt Lake Community College this year. This is a major thing for him and I am so proud of him!
We have become better acquainted with our ward which has been a huge blessing for us. We have made some great friends and enjoy doing social stuff. It took us a while to feel like this was "home" but it is getting pretty close!
Our major goal this year was to take some family road trips. We completed our first one last weekend and it was a success! We stayed in St. George and went biking in Zions and then hung out in Vegas. George and I kept saying to each other that we need to do this more often because we truly had so much fun. Next stop.... Arizona!
My goal is start keeping a regular post on here. So stay tuned:)

Start Fresh with Fall

I keep waiting for life to slow down but it doesn't!! I quit one of my jobs so now I am just crossing (in addition to school and being ma). Alilia is walking everywhere. She is so big. Tati is just doing the usual singing, dancing, pretending. We are very, very excited for Halloween. I love how the weather has changed and cooled down. I love summer but this one was a bit hard so I am not sad to see it go. I am ready to start fresh with fall. I am currently on the whole Atkins thing and have lost a few pounds. I really am trying to hang in there. It is just so hard when I am so busy and hardly ever home. I am on the floor and taking clients at school and I LOVE it!! It really is so much fun. My instructor told me the other day I did the best graduation (certain cut) that she had EVER seen any student do even if they were graduating. I was really happy about that. I had a really good weekend. George and I went on a date friday to see 'The Switch' which was hilarious. Saturday I went with some friends to Park City to shop after school. It was a much needed fun, relaxed weekend.

Camping

Oh Camping. I really, really wanted to go camping this summer. We have had zero vacations with our multiple jobs, school and everyday life. I love camping and was trying to convince my hubby poo just how fun it really is since he has never been. We rounded up the usual suspects (minus a few) and after a MUCH stressful ordeal I finally drove down to Deer Creek and reserved us two spots for five families. Well........ it kinda turned into a disaster. Alilia cried the WHOLE entire night waking up the whole campground. Our air matress had a hole so we slept on the ground. It hailed/ rained. Harkness' boat broke down. And after many years of being married and trying to convince my husband to go camping he stated he would never go again. BOO.

Pity, Party of 1 PLEASE LEAVE

These past four/five months have been among the hardest in my life. I have had a super hard time just getting through the days. We bought a house/ lost most of our friends, bills piled in, had a disaster with Alilia's birthday and have moved into a new ward which I have had a hard time acclimating to. I feel like most of our good friends "broke up with us" when we moved south. "It's not u, it's me" translates into "out of sight, out of mind". I won't even touch on the whole Alilia disaster because it brings tears just thinking about it. I have had such a hard time with this new ward. The older I get, the harder it is to put myself out there again on the friendship market. And when you have a husband who likes to be the prom king he can over shadow even a very, strong personality like mine. I hate being known as George's wife. I feel I have some value beyond that.
I have decided to be done wallowing. No one is going to come to my rescue but me. So my goal is to make a true effort to make some friends in this new ward. Lauren, thanks for being my friend already! I am going to loose myself in service. Our bishop gave this lesson on welfare and he started it by quoting a scripture that says, " And they lived in the manner of happiness". I am going to live in the manner of happiness because it is a decision. I am going to quite focusing on my issues and start helping others. I am changing this negative attitude into a positive one if it kills me! I am going to have a conversation with at least two new people a week at church. I am going to do two acts of service a week. And I am going to be happy damn it! So go me!

Happy Pioneer Day

Racing to the mall; screaming one year old that I just keep shoving suckers too; three year old won't stop grabbing everything and trying it on; spilling orange Julius all over pacsun's floor; Hot Topic guy denying to help me because I don't look like his typical customer; leaving mall feeling very defeated and not even getting what I needed; racing home; being tailgated by a grandma with not one, but three scooby doos hanging from her rear view mirror, George calling to say they won their Rugby game and now in semi finals till 10 pm, getting home stripping all my clothes off the work buck naked for one hour, one more holiday without firecrackers or bbqs.....I'M READY FOR BED!

I should clarify I am taking calls for a non profit charity for work. Nothing scandalous...but I can be naked and no one knows!
