Don't touch my child

Dear Purple Ball lady at discovery gateway,
I understand that your daughter likes the purple balls. However, my daughter likes them too. In fact, she likes any color. Your daughter does not "OWN" all the purple balls in the whole place and does not need to throw a tantrum anytime anyone else touches a purple ball. What really upsets me though is the fact that you grabbed my daughter's arm and yanked her away and told her that she can't touch the purple balls. I really can't believe you touched my child. You are lucky all I said to you was not to touch her. Discovery Gateway is about sharing...if you want to teach your 3 year old to be spoiled go ahead. But maybe you should do it at home next time. That is a whole set of issues you will have to deal with at a later time I am sure.
sincerly,
one pissed off mom

Time to slow it down a little for couples skate....

I think I am in a blogging blah lately. But here is the latest in our lives:
Tati- not potty trained although loves to flush the toilet and flush and flush. She is too big/heavy for the crib so she has been crashing with us which makes for WONDERFUL sleep. We are going to buy a bed with our tax return. Altogether having an almost two year old (one month) is the best and the worst all at the same time.
George- Was so happy the sun came out and he got to play some golf. He was so happy because he got to have a guys night with his friends and I could tell he needed it. We are too much woman for him to handle sometimes. Is so grateful his job is stable and he is actually being promoted instead of laid off like so many we know. Such a great sport to put up with GRUMPY me all the time.
Me-NO sleep. I just started stampin up and am really excited. Plan on a party in the next month to come. I have total anxiety about this baby...funny I wasn't like this last time. Loves twix bars and Dr. Peppers.
Not too much going on here. The things I have had on my mind lately are missionary work, fellow shipping, and knowing how grateful we should be for everything we have...including you my friends!

All over the place

Lately, when I lay down at night no matter how exhasted I am I can't fall asleep. All of a sudden I have a million things on my mind. Worries, stress and anxiety. It doesn't help that I won't find out the sex of this baby for another month. I feel so unprepared. I have a million things that I need to get done before this little one is here. I feel there are a million things I need to buy like a double stroller, a big girl bed for Tati, baby clothes and dresser. I also want a hooter hider, a couple baby slings and a cute diaper bag. I hate diaper bags. I never had one with T because I didn't want to conform to motherhood fashion. But, I think the time has come when I have so much junk I need one. Tati has started potty training which is a hit and miss kind of deal. Lately more of a miss. I think the "fun" has worn off. I think I must be stressing myself out because my intestinal contractions are back. YES! I had them with T because I was so stressed because George was working in Wendover at the time and I was scared I would go into labor without him. They are so painful. They hurt just as bad a real contractions but they screw up my whole digestive track too. That with this whole Placenta Previa makes me feel like a big mess! OH WELL! On the bright side I so happy with this weather I could just bask outside all day long. I can't wait for summer. I want to go on a vacation and go swimming and make some good memories. Everything is just a little more fun during summer. Maybe having a baby will be too!

On a side note, I have noticed that a lot more traffic of people I don't know are visiting my blog. I don't mind that at all. It does kind of make me think about the personal stuff I am writing. Is it boring? Is it dangerous to have our names out there? Leave a comment so you aren't just some random city I don't know anyone from. Thanks!

A post only a parent could appreciate (gushing involved)

These days my heart just feels like it is going to burst with love for Tatiana. In a matter of two weeks she has started talking up a storm. She will repeat everything you say. It cracks me up because she is constantly picking up the phone and saying, "Miss you Dada. Miss you George. Miss you Shisa(Lisa, my sister)." Every baby and stuffed animal have to have a proper bed with appropriate bedding which is her old burp cloths. She tells them, "Night, night" and then she will turn around to us and put her chubby finger up and say, "SHHH!". I think she is ready for the toilet. This happened a lot sooner than I thought it would. I was so unprepared. She hates having any sort of a dirty diaper and she will always tell you when she is going to "B-ee-u"(Poo). I felt like for awhile we went through some tough weeks. But, I realized it was because I couldn't pick her up and she was feeling neglected. Now, even though I am not suppose to, I pick her up from time to time and I make sure we get lots of cuddles in. We are planning on putting her in a big girl bed in the next month so I have started laying with her at night in my bed and she absolutely loves it. George comes in to say prayers and then she pushes him out saying, "Bye DAD." Then she immediately turns to me with her little arms open waiting for me to hold her while we snuggle. She plants about 100 kisses on my face and arms before drifting off. No matter how hard of a day we have had, or how stubborn she has been these moments melt my heart and I just lay there in silence knowing that someone loves me sooo much and maybe I'm not doing too shabby of a job as a mother.

I am proud to be a member..

So for awhile I have debated whether or not to post my feelings on the whole prop 8 and "gays vs. mormons", which by the way I feel is a bunch of krapoola. Then today, I read that the show BIG LOVE is going to show full temple ceremonies with full temple clothing on their March 15th episode. Now, I actually have watched BIG LOVE quite a bit and usually enjoy it because I am obsessed with polygamists. This, however, is taking it to a whole new low. I am disgusted that an ex-member who is on the shows writing staff can feel comfortable writing this. I feel that in these lasts days the Church is only going to keep getting hit over and over again. It is our job as members to stand up strong. That is all I am going to say about that. If you want to read the church's press release on this issue here is the link http://www.newsroom.lds.org/ldsnewsroom/eng/commentary/the-publicity-dilemma . Form your own opinion and if you feel like leaving HBO a comment you can do so on their website.
